This Indian actor was born on 17 th Jan, 1917 in Kandy, Sri Lanka and died in 1987 at the age of 71, India, mostly known as MGR, he became the first Indian Actor to become a Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and his party was ADMK. His parents were Melakath and Satyabhama. Later, and he maried to V.N.Janaki. His debut film was Sathi Leelavathi in 1935 but Rajakumari became hugely popular. Films like Alibabavum, Thirudadhe, Aayirathil are some of his blockbusters and Rickshawkaran gave him the National Award. he received Padma Shri in 1960 and Bharat Ratna in 1988.
